Wrist Rocket

This is another one I first saw on MVM and knew I wanted to check out.  This stunning line starts with some moderate lie-backing and moves into dynamic compression climbing with a tricky mantle.  After about an hour, I was able to get to the mantle but could not stand up on my feet.  I have to say, this is now one of my five favorite boulder problems ever.

this line looks too good... is it not the same thing as 'triple threat arete' however? looks very very similar in photos. maybe i'm on crack.

yes yes. according to the black bible of utah bouldering, the line i am attempting is triple threat arete. and wrist rocket (the original line, and a grade more difficult) climbs left through more laybacking underclings to gain the same lip jug and mantle. however, the MVM clip of ethan (who is climbing the same line as I am pictured on) is labeled wrist rocket. given the presence of both mike call and steven jeffery during ethan's send and it was labeled in the video as wrist rocket, i am under the assumption that post publishing of the black bible, the original wrist rocket line faded away, in favor of the line of least resistance (what was originally called triple threat arete, and i am calling wrist rocket). however, i could be wrong. if anyone knows more than i, let me know.
